TROPIC STAR OF PINE ISLAND, INC. offers Wilderness Systems and Perception kayak rentals on Pine Island and at Cayo Costa State Park on Cayo Costa Island.
Paddle the beautiful protected waters of Pine Island Sound, Charlotte Harbor or Jug Creek River.Charts and route suggestions will be given or follow the markers for the brand new second phase of the Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail. Enjoy the wilderness of our mangrove encircled islands. Travel for miles with your only companions the abundant wildlife of osprey, eagle, herons, egrets, pelicans (brown and white), roseate spoonbills, magnificent frigate birds and more. In the clear waters, fish are teeming and the occasional dolphin or manatee will join you.
Rentals are available for half day or full day at Bokeelia on Pine Island. On Cayo Costa rentals are for a 24 hour period only. Kayaks may be rented to take with you to Cabbage Key, Upper Captiva or locally for 24 hour periods. The TROPIC STAR ferry can transport kayaks (yours or ours) to our scheduled island destinations. There is a $15.00 roundtrip transport charge to transport personal kayaks on the ferry.

SAME DAY KAYAK & FERRY PACKAGE
TROPIC STAR offers a special same day ferry/kayak combination package for $45.00 plus person including taxes.
Depart Pine Island at 9:30AM for Cayo Costa on board the 59 passenger Tropic Star.
Use of single or double kayak at Cayo Costa from 10:30AM until 2:30PM.
Return via ferry departing Cayo Costa at 3:00PM and back to Pine Island at 4:00PM.
A one way by Ferry and one way paddle combination package is $40.00 per person including transporting your personal kayak.
Kayak rentals include paddles, jackets, charts, sponges.
Reservations are required.

GUIDED TOURS
Two and one half hour guided tour on the great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail - Starts in Bokeelia. Traverse Jug Creek River, Stop for shells on Calusa Island, Paddle on Charlotte Harbour Aquatic Preserve Estuary. Enjoy exploring the mangroves, paddling with dolphins and manatees, see abundant wildlife.

GREAT CALUSA BLUEWAY PADDLING TRAIL - KAYAK PACKAGES
Tropic Star of Pine Island offers a three night/four day package and a five night/six day package including efficiency vacation accommodations on the Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail at either Jug Creek Cottages or Bokeelia Cottages. Free boat launching and parking, three guided tours on the four day package and five guided tours on the six day package, a souvenir chart, all applicable taxes for included items.
